To Whom It May Concern:
Let me take this opportunity to introduce The American Street Rod
Association. The ASRA is comprised of all pre-1949 vehicles. Why pre-1949 you
ask? Well most states define antique motor vehicles as those manufactured more
than 25 years ago and streetrods as those modified vehicles produced by an
American manufacturer in 1948 or earlier and used as a safe, non-racing vehicle.
Currently The ASRA has over 300 members from all over the United States.
Are you wondering why a letter from a bunch of gear heads? Well,
these gear heads have wives and girlfriends who enjoy classic pre-1949 vehicles
too. The Lady Street Rodders were formed as part of The ASRA. June 25th through
June 27th was the 1st Annual The American Street Rod Association Reunion with
over 200 registered pre-1949 vehicles. On June 26th the Lady Street Rodders held
its 1st Annual Ladies Tea. During the tea and throughout the entire weekend,
donations were collected.
As a result and on behalf of The American Street Rod Association
and The Lady Street Rodders, please accept the attached checks totaling $725.00.
We personally could not think of a more deserving organization than the Susan G.
Komen for the Cure and Breast Cancer Research. All we ask in return is a simple
acknowledgment of the funds and receipt of this letter.
The ASRA and the Lady Street Rodders have just begun its mission.
That is to network with people all over the Untied States and share stories and
memories of American Classic Vehicles. It is also our wish to continue to
partner with The Susan G. Komen for the cure and Breast Cancer Research.
Again, please accept our donation, and know we support your efforts
in finding the CURE to Breast Cancer.
Very Truly Yours,
Jimbo Perkins
